Miramonte Reservoir, well known in Colorado for its excellent stock of rainbow trout, is the perfect spot to fish near Norwood. Boaters are also welcome. Miramonte is the ideal place to spend a day away from it all with your family while you’re visiting Norwood. Don’t forget the sunscreen!

Lone Cone

Lone Cone Mountain is Visible from Norwood’s quaint streets. The Lone Cone stands to the south at 12,000 feet and is a destination for hikers throughout the region. It is also known for the best hunting in the region.

Thunder Trails

The Thunder Trails are hiking and riding safe spring through fall. The Thunder Trails are the largest trail system on Wright’s Mesa, offering four loops and 19 miles of fun, flowing single track trails, as well as challenging climbs and moderately technical rocky outcrops.

Located only 35 miles away, Telluride is bursting with activity all year long. Hit the slopes in the winter and save on your lodging. Bring your mountain bike in the summer and ride the mountain trails. Whatever season you find yourself here is sure to be a fun-filled one!
